Delta Koukounari
A unique pine coned shaped vessel for small delicasies, designed to be part of the Athenian Delta restaurant’s culinary experience. This dish was served with a pine cone shaped sweet that was shown once the top was removed. Delta has a “nothing lost-nothing wasted” philosophy, respecting natural resources, while simultaneously raising consciousness around the importance of sustainability. After several meetings and idea exchange with the Head Chefs, Thanos Feskos and George Papazacharias, Kosmas Serpetinis created this object, which is made entirely from scraps of travertine. Hand-finished with special care.

Kapandriti is a rare travertine, mined in the north of East Attica in Greece, featuring natural dark beige and brown tones.

Delta Koukounari
This vessel is non-toxic as it has been treated with a food-safe sealant which not only protects it from staining, but also ensures it is suitable for use with food. Be aware however, that natural stone will always retain some level of absorption and therefore products with a high acid, fat or oil content should not be placed on it.
This object is easy to clean. Avoid acidic substances and clean it with gentle soap. Simply wipe it down with a damp cloth. Don’t use this object in the microwave or the oven. Handle with care, if dropped it will shatter.
